Glenn Amundson, 58

Glenn Amundson, age 58, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. 

Glenn Robert Amundson was born to James Deane and Darlene Gylfia Amundson on October 16, 1967 in Grand Forks, ND. He attended school in East Grand Forks, MN and graduated from EGF Senior High School in 1986. Glenn played basketball on the Green Wave basketball team all through junior and senior high school, and carried many memories, stories and friendships with him from those days. 

Glenn worked seasonally alongside his father on the family farm. He attended and earned an Agriculture Business Degree at Bemidji State University. He then returned to East Grand Forks where he was employed with Hansen Ford in positions in finance and management. He also worked for a time at Leisureland RV in the service department. Glenn founded, owned and operated Amundson Snow Removal and Lawn Care with a legacy of 32 years in the snow business. He truly cherished his relationships with numerous college buddies, farm neighbors, co-workers, and snow and lawn customers.

Glenn was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He always made time for the people he cared for so deeply, whether through a phone call, a sympathetic ear or a helping hand. He had a good soul and was thoughtful, reliable, caring, steady, generous, lighthearted, genuine and kind. 

Glenn is survived by his wife of 19 years, LeahRae; son Connor Amundson; stepson Nathan (Jenna) Wasvick and grandchildren Adalynn and Dawson Wasvick; mother, Gylfia Amundson; one brother, Mark (Casundra) Amundson, nephew Jonah Amundson; Mother-in-Law Darlene Lofthus; brothers-in-law Daniel Lofthus and Mark (Alexandra) Lofthus; uncle, Arnold (Teresa) Amundson; along with many cherished cousins and their families. 

Glenn was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and last year by his father, James Amundson. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials or donations to HIA Hospice or to the Altru Health Foundation Filling the Gap Program. 

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:30pm at Dahl Funeral Home in East Grand Forks, MN. 

VISITATION: Beginning at 1 pm before the service at Dahl Funeral Home. 

INURNMENT: South Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural East Grand Forks, MN.
