Thomas L. Pender, 91, formerly of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died on July 18, 2026, in his home surrounded by family in Moreno Valley, California.

Thomas was born on July 10, 1935, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to James and Hazel (Presting) Pender. Tom served in the Army from 1954 to 1957. Following his discharge, Tom moved to California, where he worked and retired from Nabisco. He was united in marriage to Eunice Petroff.

Tom was a diehard fan of the LA Dodgers and never missed the opportunity to watch or talk about them. He also loved to go fishing with family on his return to Minnesota and North Dakota.

Tom is survived by his grandson, Aaron (Monica) Petroff; great-granddaughter, Arianna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; parents, James and Hazel Pender; sisters, Alice Jean, Shirley, Dorothy, and Judy; and brothers, James (Sus), Lloyd, Vaile, and John.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m, Friday, August 21, 2026, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN

VISITATION: One hour prior to the memorial service at Dahl Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Memorial Park South Cemetery in Grand Forks, ND, with Military Honors provided by the Army National Guard, the East Grand Forks American Legion Post #157 and VFW Post #3817.
