City updated on downtown cannabis retailer progress

Chicago Atlantic eported it discovered a number of previously unknown conditions hat need to be addressed to bring the building into compliance with the required codes, such as rooftop units have to be installed and the current roof has not been deemed strong enough to support them. In addition, asbestos was identified. Structural changes are necessary to solve those and other issues. Chicago Atlantic have indicated that they have every desire and intent on closing on the property. They expect that they will be able to close within the next 30 days.
