Laurie Christiansen, 80

Laurie Christiansen, 80 of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Laurel Mae Ford was born on February 24, 1945 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Chester & Beverly (Hensrud) Ford. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1963. On December 28, 1963 she married Glenn Christiansen and they began their family. Laurie worked retail as a clothing manager at White Mart, and she also worked in the pharmacy at Pamida. 

Laurie enjoyed working outside, getting her hands dirty in the flowers and her yard. She loved attending and supporting her kids and grandkids at all their events. Laurie also enjoyed volunteering and having a friendly conversion with anybody. She was also a huge Elvis fan.

Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Chet & Beverly Ford; and beloved husband, Glenn.

She is survived by her children, Matt (Tania) Christiansen, Ryan Christiansen, and Todd Christiansen; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Bonnie) Ford, Donna (Gene) Ellertson, Gary (Karen) Ford, Cheryl Harlow, and Rahn (Debbie) Ford; and many other relatives. 

VISITATION begins at 10:00a.m. with MEMORIAL SERVICE at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Avenue NW, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
