Richard W. Noyes, 79, of East Grand Forks, MN died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Richard Noyes was born September 10, 1944 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Michael and Margret (Brunsvold) Noyes. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic school in East Grand Forks. He served his country in the US Army from 1961 to 1965, stationed at Fort Carson, CO, Fort Chaffee, AR and Schofield Barricks in HI. He married Darlene Amundson on February 5, 1966 in East Grand Forks, MN. They lived in Grand Forks, Ardoch, and East Grand Forks since 1977. He was a Master Electrician and worked for 3 Star Electric, Eagle Electric and the Grand Forks School District until his retirement in 2010.

He enjoyed going to Lake Bemidji, keeping stats for NASCAR and riding is bike around the neighborhood. He was a Lifetime Member and Hall of Fame Member at the Grand Forks Speedway. Rick had a great sense of humor and always had a great comeback.

He is survived by his wife Darlene of East Grand Forks, children, Stacy Noyes, of Crystal, MN, Jody Cole and Brian (Laurie) Noyes both of East Grand Forks, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Jean Dempsey and Linda Grinde, both of East Grand Forks, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Neil Noyes and brother-in-law Michael Dempsey.

The family would like to thank all the staff on 3 west at Altru for the compassionate care that was given to our Dad during this difficult time.
