Peggy Schulz, 59

Peggy Schulz, age 59 of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, passed away from health complications on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Peggy Sommerfeld was born on June 27, 1964 in Grand Forks to Gad & Gladys (Joern) Sommerfeld. She was baptized on July 26, 1964 and confirmed on March 19, 1978 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Peggy was a 1982 graduate of Red River High School, and she also attended Aakers Business College in Grand Forks. She married Jerry Dalzell on July 16, 1983, and to this union two children were born. Peggy worked at Grand Forks Public Schools and went on to work at UND in Dining and Campus Postal. Peggy met the love of her life, Dale Schulz, in 2000, and they were united in marriage on August 24, 2002.

Peggy loved spending time at the lake, often enjoying a few cocktails throughout the day. She liked fishing, camping, and riding around on the golf cart. Peggy enjoyed watching The Price is Right and her Soaps (in that order), she liked watching The Bachelor, Wheel of Fortune, HGTV, and all sorts of cooking shows. Peggy was a devoted UND Hockey fan, attending or watching as many games as she could. Peggy was an even bigger fan of her grandkids and their activities – she lived for them! She also loved her animals – her pets were like her kids.

Peggy was a wonderful mother, grandma, wife, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Dale Schulz; children, Mandi (Marc Horn) Dalzell, and Brandon (Kirstin Cavanaugh) Dalzell; grandchildren, Kassidy, Maddisyn, Corey, Jordan, Kailar, Royce, Dolcey, Brockton, and Rexten; step-grandkids, Ivy and Jaden; step-great-granddaughter, Savannah; sister, Barb (Clint) Uhrich; niece, Amber (Nick) VanDeusen; nephews, Jeremy (Angela) Uhrich, and Justin (Carey) Uhrich; aunt, Beatrice Schulz; many cousins; and her fur babies.

VISITATION beginning at 12:00pm, with FUNERAL SERVICE at 1:00pm, on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 815 N. 20th Street, Grand Forks, ND. Service will be Livestreamed on Peggy’s obituary page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com
